GROT 12 series ground penetrating radars designed for non-destructive studies of the material media structures, including subsurface soils, using ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulses at depths ranging from several to hundreds of meters.

characteristics

The key advantage of GROT 12, in comparison with previous generations of ground penetrating radars, is the direct digitization of the received signal with a single scanning pulse throughout the entire operating frequency range without additional operations of gating and frequency conversion. Any of these operations leads to appearance of significant distortions during signal digitizing and requires great increase in the number of probe pulses of the transmitter and their repetition speed. As a result, the measurement accuracy, the efficiency of post-processing and battery life of the radar are significantly reduced. GROT 12 type georadars are devoid of these deficiencies and favourably differ from others in improved measurement accuracy and portability and longer battery life.

Technological features of GROT 12 allow to minimize the signal distortions during its digitization, to increase the scanning resolution, to significantly simplify the construction of the GPR, to conduct processing and interpretation of data on the computer in real time and to diversify the technology of scanning simply by modifying the parameters of the control program without changing the construction of the device.

The drawbacks of the previous ground penetrating radars, which used a separate registration unit and in some cases, due to operator errors, a loss of information took place at the moment of data transfer from the device to the computer, were taken into account. In GROT 12 data loss is possible only when computer, on which it is kept, is lost.

Superpowerful GROT 12 type GPRs have great effective dynamic range (energy potential) and adjustable power during registration.

The distinguishing peculiarity of GROT 12 family ground penetrating radars is outstanding scanning results of media with high conductivity, such as wet clay soils.

equipment

Depending on the task, different construction of transmitters and detachable antennas are used in GROT 12.

The antennas are resistive-loaded dipoles, which are used to get the aperiodic shape of the scanning pulse and to get rid of the "ringing", typical for the extremely popular in the world antennas known as the "Butterflies".

The available for GROT 12 antennas have different frequency ranges with centre frequencies from 750 MHz to 15 MHz and the size in the unfolded form of 0.2-10 meters. Compact and easily mounted antennas allow scanning in the places, hardest to reach.

Assembly kit is very simple. The kit includes only one cable for connection to the control computer. If you use a wireless connection to the control device, no cables are required during assembly.

We provide transmitters with the signal voltage of 5-15 kV, pulse power of 1-9 MW and different pulse durations.

GROT 12 series georadars can be equipped with antennas with lengths of 15-30 meters and transmitters with pulse power of 50 MW.

The batteries, which are used in GROT 12, are removable, mass-produced and rechargeable from a variety of sources that is especially important and useful in the field.

operation

The data acquisition and processing program allows real time combining GPR scanning with GPS data and building three-dimensional images, taking into account the relief with an accuracy of the GPS receiver.

GROT 12 type georadars scanning process is carried out in either manual or automatic mode with adjustable period of the registration process start.

GROT 12 georadars are PC-controlled using cable or wireless connection, data processing and interpretation are carried out in real time.

Georadars 12 GROT are safe for health and have certificates of compliance with sanitary-epidemiological rules and regulations.

Ground penetrating radar GROT 12 is easy packed in a small case and a bag for the antennas, and the total weight is less than 3 kilograms.
